Rescue Me ID: 17-11-16-00087Mysti & Myra (Pair) (female)

Bengal    Age: Senior

Compatibility: Not Good w/ Other Cats, Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Low Energy, Very Submissive
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Looking for a new forever home for my TWO beautiful Bengal cats. Mysti (DOB 2/7/05) and Myra (DOB 4/1/07) are purebred females (neutered). The are half 'sisters', having the same father. They are in excellent health and have all their shots. Bengals are not known to be affectionate cats (they don't like to be picked up and held-typical of the breed) but when I sit in my recliner Myra sits on my lap and Mysti sits on the arm of the chair and love to be petted this way. We retired last year and are starting to travel more. They are used to roaming the house, so they don't like having to stay in a cage at a boarding kennel when we are ... (Read More)gone for long periods of time. They certainly vocalize their displeasure when they get home! As much as it saddens me to give them up, I would rather they have a home where their family doesn't leave as often as we do. They are house cats only. They have never been outdoors, so one stipulation is that they have a new home where they will stay indoors. Both have all their claws and use a scratching post. I would also hope that they would not be declawed as this is such a painful process. Finally, they MUST STAY together, which is why I am not listing them separately. I bought them to be companions while I was at work. They get along very well with one another, but they do NOT get along at all with other cats. We had our son's Bengal for six months last year and in that time, they never did get along. They do get along well with dogs however-in fact, they ignore them. They will go to their new home with two pet carriers, food and bowls, automatic water bowl (they like running water), two scratching posts, three litter boxes, nail clipper, 'nubby glove' for brushing, toys and health records. They may seem like old cats based on their age, but they do not look or act old at all and are just as beautiful today as when I bought them. They both have pretty rosettes and glitter in their fur. No grey hair yet! I have heard that Bengals have a longer life expectancy than most cats so I would expect them to live for many years. Mysti and Myra are a beautiful pair of somewhat exotic kitties that I hope to find a new forever home for. We live in SW corner of MN. Thank you for considering adopting my beautiful kitties. Please e-mail me if interested. Tell me a little about yourself, experience with pets, other pets in family, City/State you live in and your phone number and best time to call you. Also include any questions you have about Mysti and Myra. I you prefer to call me, my cell is 507-370-1722. Thanks again! (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 17-10-23-00309Simba (male)

Bengal    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Female Cats Only, Not Good w/ Dogs, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Very Dominant
Health: Vaccinations Current, Aggressive,
 Fearful/Anxious, Incontinent

Simba is a beautiful boy that I love dearly. Since we moved to our new home he has been spraying on the furniture. I bought female kitten whom he gets a long with, always good to my son who is 7. Becomes aggressive with me at times but has decreased since we got the new kitten. I have tried medications, thunder jacket, pheromone spray/diffuser, and tried giving extra attention. I don't know what else to do. and cannot have my home smelling like cat urine. I love him and want him to go to a loving home. He is a good boy that loves raw chicken, catnip, and crinkle toys.

lnteresting Bengal Trivia Low-Cost Minnesota Spay & Neuter Clinics
The Bengal is descended from the wild Asian Leopard Cat crossed with domesticated cats. The coat of a Bengal has a unique, shiny, dusted appearance referred to as glitter. Interest in hybridizing domestic cats with wild cats to produce breeds such as the Bengal was first piqued due to widespread problems with feline leukemia to which wild cats seemed to be immune. Bengal Cats are unrelated to Bengal Tigers.
