Animal ID: A295429Cinnamon (female)

Bengal Mix    Age: Young Kitten

Compatibility: Good with Male Cats Only, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: High Energy, Very Submissive
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current, Fearful/Anxious

Cinnamon is a Bengal mix torbie who is very sweet, and purrs up a storm when having her head and back scratched. She is shy and requires patience and trust as she builds trust in you-her foster mom was able to pick her up and hold her in her lap while she was kneading and purring after just a few minutes of sweet talk and caresses because Cinnamon recognized she was safe and loved. She is very sensitive, hand shy and startles at sudden movements, because she was just a bit feral when picked up by ACS at five weeks old. But with a confident touch, she immediately rolls her head into your hand, seeking head and chin rubs and making biscuits ... (Read More)while arching her back. She'll even lick your hand with little love bites all while purring up a storm. Cinnamon has a gorgeous mix of stripes and spots and strong streaks of orange, particularly down her nose, and bright yellow eyes. Cinnamon uses her litter box well, eat wet and dry food (she's a grazer and will need to be free fed as well as given morning/evening meals), uses a scratching post, has let her foster mom trim her claws and gets along with other gentle, non-aggressive cats after she has been around them for some time. She is shy at first with other cats as well as people, but has shared crates and cages with compatible (male) kittens her age. She loves to be high, so you will need cat trees, things to climb and sit high on, and maybe some catification as she would adore shelves and ramps to climb. She also likes having a covered crate or box to retreat to when she wants to feel safe and can often be found looking around the room near or from the front of her open crate or while sitting on the top of it. When she feels crowded, she retreats to the back of her crate until all is calm. Cinnamon would do best in a quieter home, no small children and no loud, yappy or aggressive dogs or overly dominant cats and does better around male cats than female cats. She would be a great younger companion for an older cat or dog. She will make a nice lap cat, snuggling sweetly up to your side, but may need to be coaxed and lightly held at first until she relaxes. She will let you hold her and kiss her head, but it is not her favorite. She needs an experienced owner, someone familiar with Bengals or formerly feral cats, someone with the patience to build trust with this beautiful little cat looking for a person to love forever. I was scheduled to be euthanized, but San Antonio Pets Alive! saved me and now they are helping me find the forever, loving home that I have never known. I am currently located at San Antonio Pets Alive! and I am in a foster home. By adopting me, you not only give me a new leash on life; you also save the life of the additional cat who can be rescued from euthanasia and placed in foster care. *** MORE PHOTOS AVAILABLE *** (Less)
